The patio should be sloped for run-off to code. The roof should be at the proper pitch with the use of aluminum flashing, gutters, down spouts, and conc. splash deflectors on grade. The code requirements can be gotten at you local Twp. Construction Office.
The use of a French Drain around the perimeter may also help manage water but may be overkill.
