About Vineland

Vineland is a city located in Cumberland County, New Jersey. The city is known for being where Thomas Branwell Welch purchased his grapes to make the famous Welch's Grape Juice.The city was formerly known as the poultry capital of the country, and is home to Lohman Animal Health, which was formerly the Vineland Poultry Laboratories. Parts of the city are consider to be in the Urban Enterprise Zone, who goal is to encourage employment in the area. Vineland Public School District serves the students living in the city. The city is also home to The Cumberland Christian School and The Ellison School. Forbes listed the city as the second least educated city in the country in 2008. Major attractions here include The Delsea Drive-In, which is the only drive-in theater left in the state, and the Palace of Depression, which has been called "The House of Junk" and "The Strangest House in the World".
