About Corrales

The village of Corrales, named for the extensive corrals built here, is located on the Rio Grande in Sandoval County, New Mexico, in the Albuquerque metro area. A major attraction is the Corrales Bosque Nature Preserve, where you can enjoy activities such as hiking, walking and bird watching. One of the best places to visit when you are in Corrales is the Rio Grande Nature Center, where you'll find trails, avisitor center and a glass-walled library. You may also have the chance of viewing wildlife such as sandhill cranes, Canada geese, coyotes and beavers.

What type of musician can be hired for a wedding? Do people only hire DJs or do they hire bands as well?

Wedding parties definitely hire bands!

It depends on what kind of music the couple wants. Some may like more traditional music, like "Big Band", but others may want something more modern, like rock.

Bands are a much classier option, in my opinion, and I would only use a DJ as a last resort.

Or, maybe you could split the time up between the two.

If you are a musician, go on Craiglist.org and see what people are looking for.
If you are part of the wedding, go to wedding website and try typing in "entertainment" or "bands" or "DJ" with the word wedding and see what comes up. There are a lot of wedding websites and forums!
