Delicious Food, Very Friendly Staff
This is one of a few good restaurants in Edgewood. It's very popular with locals. The food is fresh and the service is excellent. They offer juicy burgers, of course...and they're great. (Try their onion rings, if you're an addict like I am). They also make a great Reuben sandwich that is surprisingly authentic for a small town location, or you can order a Greek Gyro with a generous portion of lamb and Tzadziki sauce. Their specials are delicious and their prices very reasonable. I can't recommend it more.... more

Cold Fries and Burgers, cooked and served by one person, slowly
This place is staffed by only 1-3 people max in a location that is usually fairly busy. Thus, it takes a while for them to prepare food and often the food is not really up to par, even for McDonalds. Last time I ate there, I was served a box of soggy, cool fries that obviously had been sitting under a light for too long to sell. The Big Mac was cold too. I ate a few fries, less than half the Big Mac and threw the rest away. McDonalds charged me $7 for this crap. I won't be eating there again. You'd think in a small town where businesses can fail easily that they'd try to keep your business, but apparently that's not in their training.... more

Smith's
Smith's....it's okay
It's the only real grocery in Edgewood and it does fairly well. My big complaint with this and all chains is their false advertising in the store. They often have "New Low Price" on items that they've just raised the price on. For example, one week I went in and oranges cost $.98/lb. A week later, they'd placed one of their "New Low Price" on the same bin and the cost sprung up to $1.29/lb. I commented on this to a produce clerk in the area. He just scoffed at me and said, "All the stores do that." I told him it was actually fraud. He couldn't have cared less. The other thing I've found peculiar at all Smith's stores is this...often, they have several items around the store without prices listed on them. It's totally annoying, because I'm not going to buy anything that I have to walk up to the customer service counter to find out a price on. Usually, it's on overpriced items they're too embarrassed to display, but it seems like a horrible marketing ploy.... more

Very Friendly, Simple Decor, good food
This little carry out has a dining room that is very simple, but the food is reasonably priced and tasty. I recommend the "Hong Kong Chicken"....it is best eaten at the restaurant as it has a good helping of freshly fried crispy chicken in a lovely and tangy sweet sauce, with lots of veggies. The dish is still good at home, but the crispiness of the fresh dish at the restaurant is somewhat lost in carry out. I carry it out anyway, many time, since it's my favorite. You can eat a meal from anywhere from $6 up to $15. I like this place a lot and apparently, so do many others, as it is often quite busy. The family that owns it works there and is very friendly.... more

Beware!! Limo never showed up!
Just recently I had my wedding in Santa Fe & after my limo was 15 minutes late, I decided to call Monty to see where he was at? Maybe late because of traffic, but no he decided that he just wasn't going to show up to take me to my wedding ceremony because he was feeling ill, whatever I get it, things happen but this man did not even have the decency to call me, or even email me to let me know that he would not be making it, I mean he couldn't even have some else call me. In good faith we sent him a check for the total amount up-front as asked & he never showed up, so disappointed!... more
