The new location in Minden is the perfect place for our beloved little bakery from Genoa. The bakery is so nice, not quite as cute as Genoa just yet but I am confident it will get there soon enough. The food is amazing. I had a chicken salad sandwich on their sour dough bread and it was grilled on a panini. Holy cow was it good and it came with a homemade green bean salad that I had to order some to take home. With all that said it took quite awhile to decide on dessert...there is so much to choose from. I am telling you it was tough to choose but I finally picked a strawberry triffle...WOW was that a treat to the taste buds. I took a couple of chocolate dipped strawberries with me to snack on at home. You must go and taste for yourself.... more

Incredible Pastries
I am so happy the Sugarplum Bakery has opened their fairy wings and are back up and running They are not at full speed yet but their new location in the old Quiznos Sub shop is just perfect. I love that they are back in Douglas County and in town so I go there more often. I had a Coupes. I thought is was a car but I found out this one taste so good and it is a french creme in a french horn. Deeeeeeeeeeelicious. I also had a bowl of carrot bisque and the roll was toasted like I have never had before. Thumbs up to the old owners for taking it back and putting it back together the way it was meant to be. My boyfriend is gluten yucky and they even had stuff for him. I am so happy they are back.... more

La Ferme
Awesome!
La Ferme has a phenomenal setting, it is like you are eating in your personal dining room and being served by some of the best! In the winter it is particularly charming with the snow falling and the fire glowing. It is pricey but the saying you get what you pay for applies. The food is amazing, ambiance superb and the staff awesome. Giles makes you feel like a part of his family!... more
