Facial moles may appear because of hereditary tendencies, sun exposure, and other reasons. If they are growing or irritated by facial hygiene/shaving/makeup application, removal should be considered. In addition, the ABCDE's of moles will help to indicate if a mole is a dangerous one that may develop into a melanoma - A for asymmetrical shape, B for an irregular border, C for various colors, D for a diameter greater than that of a pencil eraser, and E for elevated above the skin surface.
If any of the above apply to a mole, it is best to have it examined by a dermatologist.
