Auriesville is located in Montgomery County, New York. Auriesville is a hamlet within the town of Glen. Auriesville was once home to a Mohawk village, and the name of the hamlet is derived from the name of the last Mohawk Indian to live in the area. This community is located near the Mohawk River, a popular spot for fishing and other water activities. Among the biggest companies in Auriesville are Nationwide Transportation Brokers and Canary K.C. Fultonville. There are no schools in Auriesville, but area students are able to attend schools in the Greater Amsterdam School District. One of the best places to visit when you are in Auriesville is the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs located in nearby Fultonville.
