Unless you are a regular “Dirt Week” Customer, look elsewhere!
We reserved a room for 2 nights, 3 weeks before our arrival date. She stated it was “Dirt Week” and she usually didn’t rent to anybody for less than 3 days during this time period. However she checked with one of her regulars that wasn’t coming and she called us back and rented us a room for 2 nights. 2 weeks later she called us up wanting us to cancel our reservation because she had “30 year” regular customers coming for “Dirt Week” and she wanted our room. When we refused she stated she was moving us from the room we wanted to another room because she wouldn’t put one of her “30 year” regular customers on a cot!. Needless to say we found another place to stay where we were welcomed. We had stayed here before but never again after being treated as 2nd class citizens because we were not connected with “Dirt Week”!... more
