Central Bridge is a part of the in Schoharie County, in the Albany metro area known for its Old Stone Fort Museum Complex and Black Creek Nursery. Major attractions include Schoharie County History Network and Schoharie Valley Farms/The Carrot Barn. Each year in the summer season there is a large gathering of campers. Among the biggest companies in Central Bridge are Central Bridge Water District, and Middleburgh Telephone Co. The biggest schools here are
Cornerstone Christian Academy and Whispering Pines Preschool. One of the best places to visit when you are in Central Bridge is Albany City Hall. Famous persons from Central Bridge include George Westinghouse, the inventor of the first train air brakes in 1869.
