As a woman, two arts you should consider come to mind: Wing Chun and Bo Fung Do.
Wing Chun is the only documented form of Kung Fu developed by a women, the Chinese Nun Ng Mui and her first student Wing Chun, for who the art is named . This art teaches women how to fight like women--using their unique physiology. Bo Fung Do is an extension of Wing Chun, modified for today's real world. This is the art we study at Modern Warrior, and many of the women who take even just a short 4 hour class leave feeling empowered. (And as a woman myself, I can vouch for that).
Caveat Emptor: Please keep in mind that while they may be marketed as self defense, many martial arts schools and kickboxing programs will not provide you with practical skills because their focus may be on tradition, tournaments or cardio/fitness. You can create your own, by collecting the kitchen water in a storage container and later reusing the water with any drip system. To pressurizer the system you can run water through the collected kitchen water or add a small pump. Be careful because it its high in soap or cleaning products it could damage your plants.
