About Nelliston

Nelliston is a part of the Amsterdam metro area of New York and gets its name from the Nellis family. Andrew Nellis, who is the founder of the Nellis family, came to the area in the 1700s. The Village of Nelliston is located in the Town of Palatine, which is west of Amsterdam. Among the biggest companies in Nelliston are Fuccillo Autoplex Nelliston and Rural/Metro Medical Services. The Erie Canal passes Nelliston. The elevation is 367 feet. William Frederick Dahlen, who was an American shortstop and manager in Major League Baseball, was born here.
