About Old Forge

Old Forge is a part of the Utica-Rome metro area of New York. The city is known for its tourism & very cold winter months. As a matter of fact, this area is known to be the coldest area of New York during the winter. Major attractions here include The Goodsell Museum & Old Forge Lake Cruises. Each year in the summer there is a Northeast National Pastel Exhibition. Among the biggest companies located in Old Forge are Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Birds' Marine. The only local school is the Town of Webb USFD. This school is home to grades K-12. One of the best places to visit here is Adirondack Mountains. Famous people from here include Chief William Abbott.
