Bixby is a part of the Tulsa County and belongs to the state of Oklahoma. CNN Money featured the city among the Best 50 living places of USA in 2009. The city is known for its fresh vegetables and ancient agricultural methods that add nutritional value to its food items, especially the vegetables. Major attractions in the city include the parks and the bridges built over the Arkansas River. Each year in the month of June, the city celebrates the Green Corn Festival, which includes family fun, games and music. The festival is organized in downtown Bixby and Charley Young Park provides the stage for all the events and activities. Bixby Public Schools are the backbone of education in the city and they Bixby High School is the biggest school of the city. The best places worth visiting when you are in Bixby City are SpiritBank Event Center and the Washington Irving Memorial Park. Bixby City Hall stands as the memoir of the rich culture and heritage of the city.
