About Chickasha

Chickasha is a city in, as well as the county seat of, Grady County, Oklahoma. It is considered to be the county's business and employment center. Chickasha is the home of the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. The city's host an annual Festival of Lights which has received many awards including National Top 25 Holiday Event, Best Community Festival Event, and Regional Event of the Year. The city also host an annual Muscle Car Ranch Swap Meet and Concert and the Chickasha Pre-War Swap Meet. Students here attend the Chickasha Public School District. Other schools such as The Canadian Valley Technology Center and Epworth Christian Schools are also located in the city. Famous people with ties to Chickasha include actor Lee Pace and children's book author Bill Wallace.
