As more people are finding computers and the internet affordable, there are less likely to be as many people taking the time to grab the phone book. However, the phone book continues to be an important source for the older folks and perhaps those with lower income levels. Also, folks will pick it up and view if it is in front of them when they need to find something where a computer may not always be. Branding your name has become increasingly important, so giving the potential customer more opportunities to see your name will make them feel more at home using your service. I feel any way to advertise can be good and I don't think a larger ad makes that much of a difference. It is really about can you fulfill the customer's need by being in their area, offering a brand they recognize and other factors like perhaps being a BBB member. Most advertising companies have tracking numbers where you can see if your ad is working including those selling the phone book ads. If it's working, continue and expand. If not, cut your losses and look for another venue!

As the name implies, “complimentary” is the use of such practices and techniques to compliment the use of conventional medicine while “alternative” uses these procedures instead of traditional medicine. The more common techniques you may be aware of are hypnosis and acupuncture but there are also ones for things like massage therapy, aroma therapy, reiki, light therapy and numerous others. The more enlightened medical professionals are aware of the capabilities of these complimentary and alternative procedures and are happy to include them as part of their medical treatments. I recently saw that two-thirds of doctors are comfortable in recommending hypnosis, for instance, when they feel it will be of benefit to their patient.
