About Fossil

The town of Fossil is located in Wheeler County, Oregon known for its small town charm. Its major attraction is the only fossil field in the United States which is located behind Wheeler High School. During the second weekend in August, Fossil is home to the Wheeler County Fair and Rodeo. Local businesses in Fossil are Grayguns Inc, Ashner Home Health Services, and Big Service Corral. When in Fossil, be sure to make arrangements to spend a few nights at the Bridge Creek Flora Inn.
