About Port Matilda
Port Matilda is located in the central region of Pennsylvania. The area is rich with national forests and game reserves displaying the natural beauty of the state. Local attractions include the Black Moshannon State Park and the Freestone Golf Course. In early July in nearby State College the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts is held to celebrate with music, dance and other performances. Major companies in Port Matilda include Ridge Sewing and the Crain Lumber Company. Pennsylvania State University is just to the East of Port Matilda serving the state and the local Port Matilda Elementary School serves the town itself.
