Why Does a Printer Not Print Unless The Computer Is Rebooted?
If the icon is showing in the task bar but the printer won't print unless the computer is rebooted; what can be the issue?

You don't say whether the printer is a usb printer, network printer or printing on the parallel port (lpt1)
There could be a conflict with another device on the computer. I would try removing the printer driver, rebooting the computer and reloading it.
If this doesn't work then boot the computer in safe mode by holding down the f8 key as the computer boots up.
See if the printer works when the computer is in safe mode. That can help you determine if it is a device or software conflict.
If it does work in safe mode, then something is not loading correctly or is in conflict with another device or software on the computer.
If it stil does not work, without knowing more about your printer, I would try searching on google using a search term such as "[printer name] does not print reboot"

Always forget something
Have ordered serveral times from this location - they always forget something - I mean 8 out of 10 times. And then it take another hour to get the rest of your order. They also mess the order up. Terrible!! And I live in the same neighborhood as the owner. Will never order again!... more
