York Mechanical will rip you off if you let them.
York Mechanical doesn't even rate 1 star in my book, but it seems you can't rate any lower. My sewer ejector pump failed, I called my home warranty company, and they sent these people out. Upon arrival, they quoted the job at 900 dollars, called the warranty company, then told me that it wasn't covered. I told them to hit the road. I then called the local plumbing supply house, ordered the exact pump the quoted me, picked it up on the way home, and installed it myself in 40 minutes. Cost of the pump? 212 dollars. That's right...York Mechanical wanted to charge me 700 dollars for a job that someone who had never replaced an ejector pump before managed to do in 40 minutes. If you're considering using these people, I would suggest re-thinking it and going somewhere that won't rip you off. I realize that to stay in business, they have to make money, but 700 dollars for 40 minutes worth of work is absurd. Avoid these people.... more
