About Block Island

Block Island is a part of the Washington County area of Rhode Island known for its tourist destination and for activites like bicycling, hiking,sailing, fishing. Major attractions include the Southeast Lighthouse and Mohegan Bluffs. Each year in the summer season the island hosts 'Block Island Race Week' , a competitive, week-long sailboat race . Among the biggest companies in Block Island are the Block Island Ferry and Block Island Kite Co. The biggest schools here are the Block Island Public School and Block Island Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Block Island is the Block Island Historical Society Museum.
