I believe that stress would be the biggest problem. Self-esteem would/could also take a real beating during a pageant. Trying to be something you are not would/could cause major problems. It would depend on the age of the person. Those in their twenties might find it an enjoyable challenge but little one have not established who they are and this kind of scrutiny could be quite damaging.
