Most western countries in the world have outlawed routine docking and cropping of dogs. And, here in the USA, most decent vets will no longer perform this procedure.

The real question you should be asking yourself is: "why would I want to subject my dog to this unnecessary, expensive and painful procedure?"

Please understand that by docking a dog's tail you are seriously limiting his communication skills with other dogs. A dog's tail performs a vital function in signalling to other dogs how they feel, how social they are, etc.

It's like cutting out their tongue.

Please consider NOT doing this cruel and unneccesary procedure. Your dog will thank you!!!
