About Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is a unique resort city in Server County, Tennessee surrounded by the mountains. It is known for its natural beauty and hospitality. Every summer the City of Gatlinburg sponsors the first annual Fourth of July Midnight Parade that begins at 12:01 a.m. The first Friday in December is the traditional date for the annual Christmas Parade. The neighborhood schools are Gatlinburg Pittman High School and Pi Beta Phi Elementary School. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must visit when you are in the area. Famous persons from Gatlinburg include the filmmaker Merlin Miller. The song Rocky Top was written by the Felice and Boudleaux Bryant in 1967 at the Gatlinburg Inn.
