About Lascassas

Lascassas, named for Bartolome de las Casas, a Spanish missionary, is located in Rutherford County, Tennessee, in the Nashville-Davidson metro area. Within minutes of Lascassas, you can see exhibits that include a water table, a superslide and a firetruck in the Discovery Center at Murfree Springs and visit the historic site, The Hermitage, which was the home of President Andrew Jackson and where you'll find formal gardens, Jackson's tomb and a visitors center. One of the best places to visit when you are in Lascassas is nearby Long Hunter State Park, located along the shore of J. Percy Priest Lake and where you can enjoy group camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and picnicking.
