The red button is designed to override the motor shut off. The motor shut off is engaged when a jam occurs, so the electric components don't burn out. The jam should be removed before the red button is pushed. At any rate, you should turn off the power at the breaker panel. There should be an hex key attached to the side of the disposal motor. If there is no key, than you may have one in your tool box that fits the hub at the bottom of the disposal motor. Use the hex key or a tool that fits to free the motor. Once the motor is free, turn the power back on. Before trying the disposal run the cold water. Good luck.

You need to ask as many questions as you can. Also ask for references and detail exactly what you need. They may even charge you less if you have them clean spesifics and not all the house...
