Apple Valley Country Store
Very nice shopping in the Smoky Mountains
We really enjoyed looking around in the Apple Valley Country Store. Of course the Quilts are all beautiful, and the picture selection was wonderful. We will go back again, (Soon I hope), because the prices are very reasonable. All the people in Townsend were very nice. We enjoyed our stay so very very much!... more

I am always relaxed browsing through this relaxed shop. Don't let the exterior fool you... delights await you inside with local art work. The son's owner is a woodworker (tables, etc). Inside is photography, unique pottery, jewelry, fabric arts, etc. Best place for gift shopping!... more

The owner of this restaurant is a bitter old woman!
I went in with my wife on a Saturday. We met the rest of my family there. Shortly after we arrived a young boy and his girlfriend walked and stood by the ice cream counter. The owner hatefully asked if they were going to eat or not. The kids responded they wanted some ice cream. The women yelled at them to go stand at the counter. They were already at the counter! Then she snapped at me that if I wanted ice cream I needed to get my butt over to the counter. I was sitting down waiting for my wife to come out of the restroom so that we could order. My family, who got there before me, already ordered food, and my aunt asked for more water. The lady said she had other customers to deal with and if we didn't like that we could get out! It was apparent that this lady was unstable so we left, along with several other customers who had listened to enough from her. We talked to several of the local people at the business next to the restaurant and they said they don't eat there anymore.... more

Next to Heaven Riding Stables and Dude Ranch
Wonderful
We had a great time there. The owners and other family members were very nice. The horses were very calm and the view was breathtaking. Yes it's the smokies so there is alot of uphill/downhill. We also ziplined and it was a BLAST. I would recommend Next to Heaven.... more
