Starlight Canyon
Beautiful venue, contract not fulfilled
I attended a wedding at Starlight Canyon in July. The venue is absolutely beautiful BUT brides beware--you don't get what you pay for. The first thing I noticed was that there was no aisle runner. As a result, the girls couldn't wear the shoes they bought for the wedding because they sunk in the ground. Other problems--no toasting flutes for the bride and groom, no champagne for bride/groom or guests, paper products instead of glass plates, plastic wear instead of silver flatware. Room didn't have any of the things promised for wedding night--no rose petals, no candles, no chocolate strawberries. Just a plain room. Brides, be ware, you don't come close to getting what you pay for and it's a shame because it is a beautiful place for a wedding. Management offered a "settlement" for services not provided that didn't even cover the cost of the champagne they didn't provide. I don't know how they can stay in business this way.... more

Ripped off and Lied to
We recently got married here and were promised a lot of things in our contract that did not happen. They didn't put out glass plates or silverware. No champagne at all. No fountain. No napkins on table. No Bridal party table. No bride and groom flutes that we ordered. No homeymoon set up in our room: champagne in room, chocolate strawberries, rose petals, and candles. The woman in charge left as soon as the tables were up/ she didnt stay and i believe it was because she knew she didnt do any of things, and i believe it was intentional because we had gotten into an argument over the phone where she proceeded to yell at me because i was calling about things and i had a question because i had heard about a wedding out there that was unorganized and a disaster and wheni asked her she got angry and yelled instead of reasuring the nervous bride 2weeks before her wedding. and returning her calls.I guess i was right when i was worried she was unorganized.
