The Rattlesnake Inn
Our new little bar and grill
What a fantastic little gem in the middle of Williamson County. Used to be a run down dump but new owners have made it a family friendly bar and grill. We found the staff and friendly patrons make everyone feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. We tried the San Antonio burger and it was grilled to perfection. For an appetizer we had the chicken wings and they were perfect. Live music every Friday and Saturday night. Prices are great for those of us on fixed income. Definitely our new place to hang out with friends.... more

Go Visit Florence Hardware Even if you Don't Need Anything
Florence Hardware is the old fashioned kind of Texas hardware store that people thrive on. The building on Main Street in Florence, Texas is very old and that is a great thing. Classic old commercial structures need to be saved, they are part of our history, our Texas heritage. Why, just look at Gruene Dance Hall! Aside from the historical building, the fine folks at Florence Hardware acknowledge the fact that you are there and want to serve you, unlike those BIG BOX stores where you wander for hours looking for something unnoticed. Visit in the winter and enjoy that fine old Texas tradition of a wood stove! Go stand by that. Ah-h-h feels so good! Bet they don't have that in those BIG BOX stores!! I say Amen to Florence Hardware!! Go visit even if you don't need a thing, er, I mean thang! LOL... more
