Are there any laws that prohibit the custodial parent to take a child from a joint custodial parent out of the state?
The question depends on a lot of things:
1. Your state's laws
2. Is the parent taking the child out of state permanently or temporarily.
3. What does your current decree state.
Usually, state laws prevent a parent from permanently removing the child from the jurisdiction unless permitted by court order. I can't tell you what requirements must be met for a court in your jurisdiction to allow removal. Check with a family law attorney in your area.
