About Layton

Layton is a part of the Ogden–Clearfield region/metro area of Utah known for its Mormon population and Hill Air Force Base. Major attractions include the Surf N Swim water park and the Layton Community Band. Each year in the summer season there is a big Fourth of July parade.

What is the best conditioning treatment for severely damaged hair? Is hot oil or cream conditioner better?

I like home remedies the best. I've tried store bought, and they just don't do the job for me. The one that I like the best is a mashed avocado with some mayonnaise and olive oil in it. Coat your hair, wrap in a plastic shower cap or plastic wrap (and a heated towel if desired) and leave on for at least an hour. Rinse well and use a very mild shampoo and condition as usual.
If you don't have an avocado on hand, mayonnaise by itself will do the job. I prefer avocado, olive oil, some mayo and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Hope this helps!
