signature quilt
I have a 30 block signature quilt from the Colfax area that was made as a gift for Gladys Smolinski (perhaps as a wedding gift. I got it at her estate sale and would like to give to the Historical Society. It is appliqued (however not quilted) and signed by 27 ladies. It is probably from the 30's, orange solids and calico's on muslin. I live in the Tri-Cities and would love to bring it up to your facility. Please let me know when and where to bring it and I'll get it to you. I have included the names from the quilt. They are really helpful with any problems or questions I have and if there is any repairs to be done, they set up an appointment or arrive the same day or the next day to make any repairs. Horrible: imcompetent, rude, expensive, untimely, whiney.
Horrible. This is a father and son business and while the son knows what he is doing he was not always available and had to be reminded not to smoke in our house. The father appears to be clueless and his son had to come back and fix several of his mistakes like not attaching fixtures straight, not tightening down the toilets, etc. Both are huge slobs and left our house a mess every time they came. None of the other subs liked working with them because of their constant whining. My Dad did a lot of the work with them but they didn't discount any of his 70+ hours of labor from our bill which they had the nerve to request we "pay immediately". Now we realized that they didn't install any non-softened water in our house which means we have nothing to drink or cook with, a serious oversight that they should have known about and should have suggested.
