Heisson is a community located in Clark County. The elevation is 440 feet. Take a quiet backroad, away from Interstate 5, drive through forests and farmlands, but don't blink because you might miss it. Nearby Pomeroy Living History Farm is nestled among tall firs in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Situated along the scenic Lewis River, the farm is an interactive educational museum that depicts domestic and farm. Listed on the National Register of Historic Properties, this farmstead includes a log home built in 1920, a barn, a working blacksmith shop, extensive herb and vegetable gardens, woodlot and pastures. Battle Ground State Park is a camping park with beautiful, forested land in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The lake itself is of volcanic origin. Breathtaking Lucia Falls make their way along the East Fork of the Lewis River. The park has a picnic area and hiking trails. Local businesses include United States Postal Service and Heisson Store.
