Metaline Falls is a town in Pend Oreille County, Washington known for its natural beauty, camping, fishing, birdwatching and wildlife. Metaline Falls was established in the early 1900’s as a timber and mining town. In the 1970’s the community became a regional center for culture and art. It was voted one of the “100 Best Small Art Towns in America” in 1996. It also won the Governor’s Award for small arts communities. Flume Creek Mountain Goat Viewing Area offers a spectacular view of mountain goats, bighorn sheep, moose, woodland caribou, and white-tailed and mule deer.
