About Argonne

Argonne is a part of the Forest County region of Wisconsin known for its proximity to Crandon. It was named to honor the soldiers that died in Argonne, France during World War I. Major attractions include the Hiles-Pine Lake Campground and Baldwin Racing. Each year in the late summer season there is the celebration of Argonne Days. Among the biggest companies in Argonne are Fannin Plumbing, and Seymour Products. The biggest schools here are Crandon Elementary School and New Hope Christian School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Argonne is the Pine Lake Pub & Café. Previously, Argonne was named North Crandon and Van Zile.
