The village of Crivitz, named by a settler after his home in Germany, is located in in Marinette County, Wisconsin, in the Marinette metro area. What is a good starter camera for aspiring photographers?

I was starting all over in life. I was also dirt poor and newly relocated. I SHOPPED and SHOPPED. I needed something I could go pro with... and I needed to be in the $500 range. I decided on a Nikon D3000. This is not to say that Canon and others were out, I just happen to be a Nikon kinda guy.

I have made it through almost a full year with this camera and I am REALLY happy with it. The only thing I would have done differently is NOT gone wtih the standard 18-55 lens. But that is a different story.

I did end up adding a Tamron 18-270mm and this is all I shoot with. Weddings to families on the beach. I am not super happy with lower light shots at full zoom, however, if you look at my portfolio, you would NEVER guess I am shooting with a $500 DSLR.
