About West Bend

West Bend is the county seat of Washington County, Wisconsin. West Bend has a strong German Heritage and is known for the many walking, biking, running, and skating trails that run through the city. Some of the largest companies in the city include West Bend Mutual Insurance Company and the West Bend Saving Bank. The largest schools in the area are the University of Wisconsin- Washington County and Morraine Park Technical College. Local attractions include Quaas Creek Park, Regner Park, Old Courthouse and Old Jailhouse Museums, and the Museum of Wisconsin Art. West Bend holds an annual Seafood Fest in June as well as a German Fest and Maxwell Street Days. Notable residents include poet Violet S. Wendt and hockey player Dave Steckel.
