Blacksville is a part of the Monongalia County region/metro area of West Virginia. Major attractions include Dunkard Valley Golf Course and Mayheim on the Mountain. Each year fall season there is the Fall 911 Event. Among the biggest companies in Blacksville are Whispering Meadows and Owen Neely Funeral Home. The biggest schools here are Clay Battelle High School and Mason Dixie Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Blacksville is Indian Meadows Campground.
