Inwood is an unincorporated part of the Berkeley County region of West Virginia known for its proximity to the Washington, D.C. area. Major attractions include Thunder Hill Farm and the Thomas Brown House, both on the National Register of Historic Places. Each year in the fall season there is the Mountain State Apple Festival in nearby Martinsburg which features arts & crafts, a parade and a 5K run. Among the biggest companies in Inwood are the Continental Brick Company and the Musselman Applesauce Company. The biggest schools here are Mill Creek Intermediate School and Musselman High School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Inwood is the Apollo Civic Theater, designed by architect Chappie Kent. Famous persons from Inwood include Grammy winning songwriter Robert Lee Castleman and former Miami Dolphin football player Fulton Walker.
