How should I react to this?

"Wow, that's really horrible. I mean, why would she be seeing a doctor and getting blood taken if she didn't think she was pregnant? Obviously, her period was late and she thought she was pregnant. She told you about it because you guys are her friends. When you're lying about something like that, you don't go see a doctor to prove that you're lying. You see a doctor because you think you're pregnant. Maybe she WAS pregnant and had a miscarriage. Did that occur to you? You really have no right to confront her about "lying." That would only prove that you're petty and a horrible friend, let along "best" friend. It would be best to ask her how she's doing and what happened. Assume that she was pregnant and that she miscarried or that she's having some sort of health problem that resulting in missing a period. Sometimes when you have an early miscarriage, going to the doctor's for bloodwork will end up saying that you aren't/weren't pregnant, even if you were actually pregnant. Because the hormones quickly change after a miscarriage, she might not have even shown as pregnant on a blood test if she waited until after the miscarriage started to get a test. So even if she only had negative tests at the doctor's office, she very well might have been pregnant and miscarried, as evidenced by her missed period. So... be supportive, stop automatically calling her a liar and think about what might have happened as though she were telling the truth the whole time."

does this mean i will go into labor really soon?

"It is nesting, but it doesn't necessarily mean you will have the baby any time soon. I got that surge of energy and drive to get things ready at least a month before the baby was born. Some people get it even moreso a few days before, but without other symptoms or signs, it's not a very good indicator. Good luck though! You're almost full term!
