I've lived in Detroit for more than five years. The best thing about Detroit is The small-town-feel I get living in the city. I feel very passionate about supporting local retailers, businesses, artists, musicians and preserving the history and culture in Detroit. I love to shop in Royal Oak, Ferndale, Detroit, any where I can find a great boutique! I am open to learning more about new and upcoming places to shop, eat and or entertain myself… any and all suggestions are welcome! Detroit is a great place for finding a unique shopping experience. We're not over-run with big-box corporate stores, which has given many small businesses an opportunity to thrive. There is a lot skepticism coming in to Detroit to shop or do business because of the negative media attention but after living and working here for years I have found that Detroit has attracted many passionate business owners. The local shops and businesses work together to help the entire community be successful. Check out my lists for some of my favorite places.
