Barely Escape

Why Barely Escape?

Barely Escape was founded in 2010 when the realization that the array of big box chain super stores were the convenient alternative to better product and services offered by the local businesses being overshadowed by them. There a many va...luable resources for the cities of Colorado Springs, but nothing that really spotlighted the locals that were truly elevating our experiences.

This website is always growing in hopes that we can shine a light on those involved in the community, interested in sustainability and responsible business practices, those offering hand-crafted items and original ideas. All who are interested in developing a connectedness within the community of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs are invited to join the elevation!

Barely Escape is also committed to supporting local non-profit organizations. We offer free advertising, event publication, and volunteer opportunity listings to any 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization located in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.

Our mission is to help connect the community where local businesses, farms, schools and other organizations and community members will have a shared vision for the future of Colorado Springs. Read More
