John recently finished a racing engine for me. No, it's not at all meant for the street. When I went to see John we discussed a many issues regarding the build. One of the first things he wanted was a copy of the rules for the sanctioning body I race in. He kept me hon...est, he was my conscience. He told me flat out what could be done and what should'nt be done. I was more concerned with reliability than anything. John set me straight. If you are building a race engine, give yourself plenty of time and see John at Champion Engine. Anyone can bolt a bunch of part and peices together, but to understand how they interact is an other issue. John told me he basically works alone. That's because he won't hesitate to sign his name to any of the work that comes out of his shop. John is not the type of guy that will yes you to death and then not deliver. Highly recommended.
