I have been going to this store since I was younger, but I have just realized how DUMB these workers are in this store. I mean, have they ever heard correct English? Not counting all the misspelled words the expert workers have all over the store. Its embarassing! It...s stores like this that give Mississippi a bad name. I understand that when you have late fees on your rental account, you aren't allowed to rent more. I'm not dumb! I've never had an account at Discount Video, but there is an existing account with my mother's name (who passed away 4 years ago), and theres a large late f...ee. The genius manager (I think her name is Christy?) wouldn't let me open an account or rent anything. She said she "thought" she had rented to me before. I HAVE been in that store a few times with my mom 5 or 6 yrs ago(She had trouble getting around). But my name was not on her account.&they couldn't find any proof that I had fees. B/c of the housing slump, I couldn't sell mom's house so I moved to Louisville a month ago. I just couldn't believe the rudeness displayed in this "Hospitality State"! Christy and the other big girl cashier spoke down to me and I am not usually one to complain, but this treatment was unnecessary. If anyone knows who the owner is, please refer him to this post. The employees here constantly gossip in front of customers and the service is awful!!! They care more about who is getting divorced or who is pregnant in their town than anything else. I even heard whispers about me while I was there.. And I'm new in town! They are unorganized and we need another movie store in this town!!!!
