I think Edgar went to the KiKiKi one time and one time only. If you don't hit the right time, it can be dead, and you can miss the real fun. But one thing can be said - the staff AND the patrons, 99% of the time, are the friendliest lot you could imagine. I'm sure Edgar... sat in a corner by himself, avoided everyone, and waited for a young Johnny Depp to walk in dressed in nothing but shorts, and walk right up to him and offer to go home with him. \t\n\t\nKikiki is FUN, and you can almost NEVER go without having at least some friendly conversation and laughs. Read the online reviews and didn't expect much when I visited the 1st time. However I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The bartender Steve was very friendly and a great conversationalist. Also left me surf awhile on his laptop. Faron, the manager (?) was equ...ally friendly and made me feel very welcome. He also pointed out some hot spots I should see in Tampa, which I actually left and checked out. I returned later in the afternoon and met a few of the customers. There was some nice eye candy that didn't come onto you unless they were invited., I did strike up a conversation with one of the cutest (shirt off) who was very bright and a great conversationalist., I'm a snow bird so I'll be heading north very soon. I've been here many times and rarely had a bad time. The nighttime bartender Micky is very sweet and watches out for everyone in the bar, both the younger guys and the older guys who admire them. This is the only place to go in Tampa if you want to meet a nice working m...an who is willing to share a laugh or two or more. Great place for younger guys to go if you are looking for the company of nice older guys who are willing to pay you lots of attention and more. True, the atmosphere is a little downtrodden, but if you've been to this kind of bar in any other city, such as Johnny's in Fort Lauderdale or the once-famous Stella's in Manhattan, you'll know this is pretty much the norm for a hustler bar!
