Great Service and Very Knowledgeable

We were having a problem with a laboratory instrument that used an old PC and windows 98. Uptech was able to build us a new PC with new CPU and windows XP. However it turns out that the instrument cannot communicate with a CPU faster than 300 megahertz, so Uptech took b...ack the computer, installed a slower CPU and this fixed our problem. There was a lot more to this than what I have written, but Uptech was very patient with us and really understood our issue and helped us get back into operation. The pricing for all this was very reasonable.Really a pleasure to deal with.

Good repairs but very bad service

I took my computer to these people. The work was done to my satisfaction BUT it took much longer than it should have. When they finally called me back for pickup of the repaired computer, they claimed that they had called twice previously and they said that they were re...ady to sell my computer if I didn't pick it up IMMEDIATELY. (If they had called me twice, why didn't it show up on my Caller ID or result in a voice mail?) I'll never go back to Uptech again.

Disappointed in Uptech

I have used Uptech in the past because they were close and somewhat reasonably priced, but my recent experience left me very disappointed in their service and I will not be going back. I left my computer with them to replace a harddrive. Over the weekend they were broke...n into and my computer was one that was stolen. I can understand the frustration they must have, but they agreed to replace my computer with a quote, better one. When I went to pick it up it was obvious they rebuilt an old computer (still had a floppy drive), and did not account for the many ports, inputs, or specifications (which I provided) present on my old one. Now I have to go buy a new one anyway to continue with the video editing work I do at home. Their security is lacking, they are under insured, and only try to meet the bare minimum when it comes to meeting the needs of their customers.
