Alaska Magazine

Unfortunately I find this magazine to be very disappointing. The price is expensive, the paper quality is poor, the articles are bias and lack originality. As an Alaskan I expected this magazine to be filled with articles on true Alaskan activities like hunting, fishing..., trapping, snow mobiling, and dog mushing. All I found was an abundance of articles targetted specifically towards tourists. It's overfilled with ads and commercialized specifically for people who do not live in the state. In fact it is not very Alaskan at all. I don't believe many of the writers even live in the state. The articles are poor and I don't appreciate the read at all. I feel as though it's great for visitors, but no Alaskan could find pleasure in reading this magazine. For people looking for a true Alaskan read I suggest looking at a different magazine like the 'Real Alaskan Magazine'. This one, unfortunately, is most certainly not a true Alaskan publication.
