AMERICAN SLIDING DOOR AND WINDOW
About AMERICAN SLIDING DOOR AND WINDOW
Our new main focus is on making custom interior doors, BARN DOORS WARDROBE DOORS
Here at American Sliding door and window, we have been in the door and window business since the early 90's. We started a small company repairing sliding doors and windows. By repair...ing them we were able to see and work on a vast amount of different types and styles of sliding doors and windows. This gave us the advantage of seeing what designs worked and what did not work. That also let us see which manufacturers were doing things right and which ones were taking short cuts. Now American Sliding Door and Window had the knowledge to not only sell and install only quality products, they will operate the best, and last the longest. They also generally tend to be better looking doors, with a much higher quality finish that lasts. We only work with the best quality products we can find. Before American Sliding Door and Window will sell or install any product, we ask ourselves, would we install this in our house. Is the quality there and will the product last and keep working for a long time. If we won’t install it in our house, we won't talk you into buying it.
At American sliding door and window we install and repair sliding doors, windows, closet doors, pocket doors (without cutting your wall open), shower doors, tub enclosures, a wide variety of custom high end exotic doors and windows (that you will see on this web site) and screens. A majority of the exterior doors and windows you will see here are manufactured by us. Now with all the different products American Sliding Door and Window has been exposed to, and the different installation methods we have been able to carefully examine what caused leaking problems, operating problems , corrosion problems, hardware breaking problems, installation mistakes, and so on. We have learned what works and what does not work. This includes the designs and materials used for the doors and windows, and also installation procedures. There are a lot of products installed wrong and that causes them to fail and stop working, it also causes them to leak. A lot of guys will install doors or windows to meet building codes, but these are minimum standards, and minimum is not good enough for us.
We strive for the best possible finished product and installation. For American Sliding Door and Window this is the only way to do things! This type of thinking also led us to start making our own products, just so we could have the changes we knew to be better. Our Coronado multi-slide doors and our Malibu bi-folding doors are made with smaller sight lines that Architects always asking for, but the frames are extruded in a way the makes then real strong. All of the hardware, screws, rollers, locks ect. Are all made from high grade Stainless Steel. All of our finishes are either a class 1 hard anodizing or powder coated. Custom colors are available; you can choose virtually any color you want. With thousands of satisfied customers, and almost 25 years of experience, American Sliding Door and Window is Orange County's best value for high quality glass doors, windows, shower doors and tub enclosures and closet doors. We expertly design; build, install, and repair all types of framed and frame less glass door and window systems.
At American Sliding Door and Window pride ourselves on the work we do and the products we manufacture and or sell. American Sliding Door and Windows also manufactures quality aluminum doors. American sliding door and window has 2 different door series. The first is the A series Coronado. The A series is a slim line multi-slide door that we also use to make a multi-slide window. The next is the F series Malibu. The F series is a Bi-folding door that is built so strong we can make our panels taller and wider than anybody else in the industry. . We are not the biggest co. and we are not the cheapest, but the products we make will stand up against anything out there and the installations we do are among the best. Don't worry we are not the most expensive either, we are very reasonable for the products and installations methods we

RIP OFF!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND BLAKE KRUMME (OWNER)
I feel it necessary to warn the community about Blake Alan Krumme, owner of American Sliding Door and Window. I did a remodel of my home and hired Blake to install barn doors in my home, to close off my game room so as to reduce the noise from the games/tv. Blake rare...ly showed up on time, if he showed up at all. He turned my garage into a workshop, leaving metal shards/shavings everywhere (ever try to remove a Metal splinter from a child's foot?). He scratched and gouged my brand new wood floors, punched holes in my walls, chipped my new baseboards, and blamed it on my Ladder! WTH? His craftsmanship is awful. My game room is just inside the front door to my house. The doors he hung, when opened, prevent my front door from opening/closing. The doors are warped, chipped and he hung them 5 inches away from the walls of the room they were supposed to close off. It literally looks like I have barn doors hanging from my ceiling in the entrance way of my home. Blake also stated (verbally, in email and in text message) that he is licensed to do this work. He is NOT licensed! He also demanded I pay him his money and got Very aggressive on the phone and in text message. He has a really, really bad temper and got combative over text message...calling me names (Dumb F**k, A**hole, Punk, Coward, etc) and made several threats. He also stated that, while he was in my house, he was recording me and my family with his tablet!!! Are you kidding me??? I have young children!! That is creepy and illegal! He tried to get me to pay him his second half of the project money without me seeing the project, stating he needed the money and he would drive to my location to pick up the check. I'm glad I held off till I got home and saw all the damages! I am devastated! The amount of money it's going to cost me to repair the wreckage he left behind is twice as much as i had budgeted for the barn door project! I have photos of the damages and transcripts of the emails and text messages he sent me. I will gladly provide this to anyone who requests them. I will be filing a complaint with the California Contractor State Licensing Board. CA state law specifically states that any work over $500 (labor and materials) performed on a home requires a C6 license. Blake is Not licensed, no matter what he says. He only has a business license for Huntington Beach (which requires a Contractors license, so he must have lied and committed perjury on the license application too). My house is in Ladera Ranch, not Huntington beach! I will be contacting the huntington beach business licensing board as well. Blake Alan Krumme is an unstable individual.

American sliding door did a wonderful job this week
American sliding door and window did a wonderful job with a new frame-less shower door this week. And he had the door ready to install and installed it in less than a week.\nWhen Blake came out I was not sure about what options I had. Blake went over several things with... me and suggested some ideas , and then he went started measuring while I was thinking about my options. The measuring was interesting, because he used a few different lasers at the same time. He explained why and that the opening was not going to be exactly square and the lasers would allow him to make the glass fit perfect when the door was done. And it does. Everything lines up perfect. Blake showed me how out of square the opening was but the door fits perfect. I am impressed.\n\nMy new shower door looks beautiful. Very good work .
American sliding door and window did a really nice job installing our doors
We has American sliding door and window come out and install 3 mirrored closet doors and a new aluminum sliding patio door. They all turned out really well . American sliding door did a very good job and even did all of the finish inside and out for the patio door. We ha...d a few estimates before we talked to Blake and they all wanted to install those cheap plastic doors, and nobody wanted to do any finish molding without charging an arm and a leg for it. Blake told me he didn't think he was done until it was done. And that meant everything including the finish molding. He even let us choose the molding we wanted. And the patio door is really nice and stout. Definitely not a cheap plastic door that people are using these days.\n\nIf you need any doors or window work American sliding door and window in Laguna Niguel is the place to go.
