Americana Inn

I got to my room at 2:00 am and was exhausted. I went to get in the bed and there was a sticky white sunstance on the bedspread. I threw it in the corner, checked the sheets and went to sleep. I took the comforter to the main desk in the morning and was told if I wanted... anything done, i should have brought it there right when i found it. I requested a refund for the night and was told to bad and I had no way of knowing what the stain was. I feel there should not have been anything disgusting on the bedding. I will definately never stay at that disgusting hotel again and will advise my family not to stay there either. Read More

I had reservations at this motel for 17-19 Sept 2009. I was to be at Pinson Indian Mounds for 3 days. I was called at 6:30 on the morning of 17Sep09 to let me know that the area was experiencing heavy rain so I had to cancel the reservations. My credit card was charged ...for one day without me staying there. I have stayed at that motel for a few years but never again. Last year with my stay the refrig quit working. I got a hair dryer from the front desk that had a guard broken and the dryer 'ate' my hair. There are motels in Jackson, Tennessee that are much better and I will insure I use one of those next year. July 9, 2009 I stopped for a one night stay at the Americana Inn in Henderson Tenn. I had stayed in this hotel before and knew it to be an older establishment not of high quality but usually relatively clean and functional. This has drastically changed. The first roo...m I was given had a defective A/C unit, no cooling only fan working and no phone service to call the front desk. The second room had a low battery beep from a ceiling smoke detector. I stood on a chair to pull the battery from this unit and it was replaced a short time later. I awoke the next morning to find I was not alone in the bed a bug and a few spair bug parts were in there with me. I told the desk clerk that I should not be charged for this night and she suggested I e mail the problem to someone. I took the bug to the desk clerk and ask not to be charged extra for the guest in my room. I will drive to anywhere else to avoid a night like this last stay. I stayed there a couple weeks ago the lady who checked me was very nice. My room was clean and very comfy bed.. Thanks for a great night of rest
