A note about the Amish farms in Ethridge:
The Amish are simple-living people, holding onto their strong religious and cultural beliefs. Their rejection of war and worldly pleasure and their reluctance to incorporate the conveniences of industrial society have made them a source of interest to local residents and visitors to the area. They are farmers and skilled craftsmen, and one of this county’s main tourist attractions
When you visit the Amish community and see first hand how they live and work. Take a Tour and stop off at their roadside stands where you can purchase many handmade crafts, produce, jams & jellies, furniture, tack and more!

Amish Country Mall Reaps With Offensive Smell of Tobacco Smoke

At first site the place looks great, but believe me, looks, in this case, are quite deceiving, because upon entering, the place reaps with the musty smell of dust, the offensive smell of heavy tobacco smoke, and the unpleasant ordor that I just can't quite identify. I...f you ever visit the place, you'll see exactly what I mean. And little wonder because the skinny ladies named Tammy and Becky who run the place obviously never clean it and spend most of their time as chain smokers standing in the doorway entrance smoking. Their conduct is unfriendly and unprofessional. The Amish Country Mall is not a place I would ever want to visit again.

Don't expect authentic Amish cooking here

The menu was VERY limited. Hamburgers, fried baloney sandwich, potato chips, and several sides with canned drinks. Where were the green/home grown veggies? Don't come thinking your getting home cooking and Amish deserts. Dairy Queen would be an equal or better choice. This was not what I was expecting.

Amish Mall NOT! Jerry's Wagon Tours a definate YES!

The first time I visited the Amish Mall and took a tour with them, the experience was just horrible. The people were so rude. Wagons were also nasty. The second time we visitied the area, we took a group tour with Jerry's Wagon Tours. Mr. Holt and his staff were so ...enjoyable and the wagons were very nice and comfortable. I could only recommend Jerry's Wagon Tours for now on if visiting Ethridge, TN.

Amish Mall in Ethridge

If you want to go on a wagon tour in Ethridge it might be best to tour at another place rather than the Amish Mall. I was there a while back and was disappointed. They have no public bathroom, no public trash can, and if you park on their parking lot to look around at a... flea market next door, well they don't like that either! The lady there acts like you are going to break something all the time. I did not have a pleasant experience with the Amish Mall. Hopefully others will have a better experience then I did.
