TAKE MY ADVICE or learn the hard way, Like i did!
looking for a repair company i found AMS Garage doors website and it said: "ask for free estimates, if no phone quote then try someone else", Well i did not follow the advise and regret it. First company i called said the estimate was free but insisted they cannot give ...an estimate without seeing the door i thought, that's reasonable. When they showed they looked at the door for less than a minute and told me i needed a whole new spring system for $700.00! WOW! did'nt expect that!, I said thanks for the estimate and then he charge me $59, saying: "It's only free if i had the repair done", when i said noway he threattened me with legal action and would not leave my home! I was so mad i paid him to just leave! AMS, was honest, the estimate was free, I felt very comfortable with the Technician that showed, he had a company shirt, the prices on the Website was spot on with the repair which was only only $164. and it came with a 3/yr warranty. Lesson learned, Advise taken, Thank you AMS.
Garage Repair
"Michael at AMS was the ONLY honest business man I spoke with before I decided which company to use. He was willing offer me options on how much needed to be done to just get it back to where I could get by with it and what more beyond that could be done to totally poli...sh it off. He was the only person I talked to when calling around that was willing to come out and look it over to offer me a bid at NO charge. Bottom-line...he came out to my house in Elgin saw the problem and fixed it at less than a 1/3 the bid price elsewhere and was happy to have earned my business. He's earned my business from here on out!"
Great Job at a Great Price
Mike is super awesome!!! I called him on a sunday and he was out the next day. He actually took the time to figure out what my problem was. I called several places to get estimates and they all said I needed a whole new garage replacement. I spoke with Mike and he gave ...it to me straight. The new door is awesome and is so much better than the original door new. I would recommend AMS to anyone who needs garage door services!!! A++++++++
